Five questions to narrow your options

  • What travel document and residence status do you hold, and where do you normally live?
  • Which institution awarded your bachelor’s degree, and in which year?
  • What work experience do you have from the last five years, and what income can you document for the previous year?
  • Do you have a Hong Kong offer or an investment plan to assess?
  • Who will accompany you, and when must work or schooling begin?

For the first enquiry, provide this summary without uploading identity documents, tax records or bank statements.

Prepare a checklist for each applicant

Separate the principal applicant’s eligibility evidence from each dependant’s identity and relationship records. Choose the route first, then record who supplies each item, any verification or translation requirements, and what is missing.

Initial approval, renewal and permanent residence are separate

Keep employment, business, family and residence records from the outset. Seven years of ordinary residence is assessed by category and circumstances; holding an ID card for seven years or making a fixed number of visits does not guarantee permanent residence.

Questions you may have

Can I apply directly to the Immigration Department?

Yes. Official pages list requirements and submission channels. We compare routes, identify evidence gaps and coordinate next steps. Whether to appoint us depends on complexity and your available time.

Which route is the fastest or easiest?

It depends on your eligibility and evidence. We explain preparation, official processing and ongoing obligations. One qualifying criterion, another person’s approval or an online timeline cannot guarantee your result.
