Categories A, B and C: check the entry criteria
Income, bachelor’s qualification, work history and graduation date determine the category. See the scheme page for full criteria.
Three backgrounds that can lead to the wrong category
- A bachelor’s degree outside the list and a listed-university master’s: the master’s alone does not establish Category B or C eligibility. Check A or another route separately.
- A bachelor’s earned over five years ago and four years of work in the last five: the graduation date alone does not exclude B. Check the awarding institution, the nature of the work and supporting evidence.
- Graduation two years ago and one year of work: C may be relevant if the university and other conditions qualify; check the quota and dates.
These examples illustrate categories, not approval. Institution, graduation and employment dates need evidence.
After choosing a category, use the scheme checklist
Prepare category-specific evidence and family documents. Check additional requirements for your residence status and any previous talent-scheme permission.
Initial applications and renewal need different evidence
The initial application must prove eligibility for the chosen category. Renewal needs evidence of actual employment or business activity; the initial file cannot simply be reused.
